As Lisa said, there is sadness in this poem, as it goes more deeply into the pain and loss that accompanies a loss of intimacy than many works which only glance across the surface of what can be a deep, complex ocean of doubt and sadness. But in doing that, it feels to me that its light of hope is that much more real.

You are a remarkable writer, and a treasured friend. I look forward immensely to working on the book together, when we both can catch our breath from our ongoing rushes in life and creativity!

Thank you for the gift of sharing your words.R. I've always loved his art work. You should stop by and see some of his work on his site. You can send in a photo of yourself or significant other and for a minimal fee he'll transform the photo into a work of art. He tours the U.S. sometimes too.

One day I'm going to make sure I meet him. lolTess MacKallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00066240659271231596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3752289549027330786.post-54279142991657278902010-11-22T13:12:52.459-05:002010-11-22T13:12:52.459-05:00Well, it was sad in that they'd wasted so much...Well, it was sad in that they'd wasted so much time. Isn't that what happens to lovers so many times. They get angry and let it ruin something incredibly beautiful. Can't get past what angered them and forgive?

But when forgiveness is found, that's amazing in itself. Some people just can't recognize it.

Paul is one of my fave authors too. Working with him is an absolute joy for sure. Sometime this spring we're going to get back to our book. Such a yummy story. Paul's input will be so special.
